Over the decade we have been supporting several federal and state government projects in analysis, design, development and maintenance of their internal system. We are in the verge of moving from Oracle Forms to Jdeveloper 11g. We have several new requirements which include but not limited to enhancements in the existing modules, improve document capability, mapping capability and new module to be developed from to track program results from external partners.

We are looking for a Mid-Level Oracle ADF Developer with a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field and 5+ years' experience or an advanced degree in one of these fields with 4+years, experience.

This position requires the person to be part of a team to ensure overall success of the projects. This position also involves understanding the requirements and providing creative technical solutions to a wide range of technical problems. You will be required to work from our office in Arlington, VA which is at walking distance to Metro.

Technical Qualifications include:

* Software development experience in J2EE and Agile environment in analysis, design, and implementation of enterprise application.

* Must have good understanding on Oracle ADF 11g Architecture.

* Minimum 2 years hands-on experience with 11g JDeveloper, ADF, ADF Faces, ADF Task Flow, and ADF Business Components.

* Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in PL/SQL and stored procedures, Data Base Triggers, as applicable to ADF 11g usage/Experience with ADF Security, Weblogic Security.

* Must have experience in building, debugging, and tuning ADF 11g applications * Must have experience with ADF UI Shell template, ADF Skinning, Rich Faces components

* Experience with Oracle Weblogic Server 11g administration is plus * Knowledge in Developer Suite Oracle Forms and Reports is plus

* Must have very good communication and documentation skills

Candidates will have to undergo a technical interview and an HR interview if technical proves successful

Core Job Description

- Support of production database services to ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security and performance required by our business systems.

- 50% Administration with 50% PL/SQL work.

- Design, development and administration of Oracle databases.

- Management and maintenance of back-ups & recovery procedures.

- Installation and maintenance of database server, replication and client environments.

- Reviewing and tuning SQL and PL/SQL code.

- Designing database packages and procedures.

- Security and access control.

- Provision of support and assistance to development team in the design, development, testing, tuning and implementation of database applications

- Creation and maintenance of SQL queries and routines

- Provisioning of (database) development and testing environments.

- Writing ad-hoc queries based on schema knowledge for various reporting requirements. Writing data ingestion procedures from external suppliers and partners using PL/SQL, sql loader, Toad etc.

- Required to deal with complex data models and object relational database mapping, while producing complex reports

This job requires excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Due to the dynamic nature of the business, self-motivation and the ability to learn quickly are essential.

Skills & Experience

Essential skills:

In-depth knowledge of Oracle 11g/10g with production support experience in a multi-project environment.

In-depth knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL including tuning.

Experience with Unix/Linux in a multi-domain environment including basic commands and shell scripting.

Oracle Recovery Manager, Import/Export (and Datapump), SQL*Loader

Oracle performance and tuning skills including server configuration and tracing facilities.

Oracle Enterprise Manager.

Good working knowledge of job scheduling and monitoring tools.

Experience of working with multiple projects/tasks and the ability to prioritise on the fly.

Other skills of interest:

Oracle OCP Certification.

Familiarity with Oracle specific tools and utilities.

Knowledge of XML and HTML

Knowledge of open source web development

Good documenting skills ( Windows Office/Visio/Cvs etc )
